Feeling the Spirit, and blessed!

Today was one of my most enjoyable days so far. It began with a video call from son Paul and his wonderful wife Melissa, announcing that they had just given birth to a new baby boy! They named him Jacob Andrew Wells. He is beautiful and perfect, and we are so happy to welcome our 23rd grandbaby!

Then, this morning we joined our district, consisting of the APs - Elder Traven England and Elder Mason Fairbanks, and the Turners, on a District Activity. We all piled into the President's van and drove to the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, which is just down the road from the mission office. We enjoyed the exhibits, and were surprised to recognize one of the subjects! You may remember my earlier post from our trip to Lukang, where we met a basket maker - here he is, in fine art:

I enjoyed the exhibit more than I expected to. There was a wide variety of art. Here are a few more of the artworks I liked:

And, here are a few photos of our district. It was my first day wearing a blue shirt (Sister Wells was pleased):

After the art museum, we headed over to TGIFridays for a nice lunch. This evening, we attended a baptism in the Wuquan 1st ward, where the APs serve. It was a wonderful service, and the 20 year old man shared a sincere testimony. I especially enjoyed the baptism talk, given by a friend of Sally's! I felt the Holy Spirit at this baptism, and so admire the faith and devotion of the Taiwanese Saints. I hope I can keep their love and enthusiasm for the gospel in my own life.

But wait! There's more! Haha. After we came home from the baptism, we went to Family Mart to get a soft serve ice cream. Their flavor of the month is Watermelon. It was cool and delicious on a hot summer night. A sweet way to end a wonderful day!
